July 2026

How will you mark America’s 250th birthday this year? Beyond the cookouts and parades, we’d love for you to join us for worship at Broad Street UMC. Throughout the four Sundays of July, we’ll be exploring a series called “The Four Freedoms.”  We enjoy so many cherished freedoms as Americans, don’t we? In a 1941 address, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt named four he considered especially vital: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. As our sermon series will reveal, these four freedoms echo deeply through Scripture and our Christian tradition.  Galatians 5:13 reminds us: “You have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love."  Join us each Sunday in July for this challenging and inspiring series. We hope you’ll worship with us in person at Broad Street UMC whenever you can. And if health, work, or summer travels keep you away, you can always join us via livestream on our Facebook page or YouTube channel.
