We’re excited to share something new taking shape —something rooted in our love for worship, fellowship, and connection. The pastors of Broad Street UMC, Grace Baptist, Scott’s Chapel and Mosaic UMC are partnering to begin a ministry called Beer and Hymns—a gathering where we lift our voices in song, celebrate our shared faith, and create space for the Spirit to move beyond the walls of the church.

It’s not really about the beer. (You don’t have to drink at all!) It’s about community. It’s about taking the sacred act of singing together—something John Wesley considered essential to the Christian life—and bringing it into spaces where people feel comfortable, welcomed, and embraced just as they are.

In the United Methodist Church, we believe God’s grace is at work everywhere—not only in sanctuaries and pews, but in parks, coffee shops, breweries, and around tables where people gather. Beer and Hymns is a chance to embody that grace and offer a faithful witness in the world.

All are welcome. Bring a friend, come as you are, and be part of something that brings joy.  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.  Let’s sing together—and let the Spirit do the rest!
