Bishop Willimon Preaching

Will Willimon, retired Bishop of the North Alabama Conference and former Dean of the Chapel of Duke University, is now Professor of the Practice of Christian Ministry at Duke Divinity School. He has authored more than 60 books and is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding preachers in America. He was named in a survey conducted by Baylor University as one of the 12 best English-speaking preachers in the world. He has also been named by a Pulpit & Pew Research on Pastoral Leadership Survey as one of the two most frequently read writers by mainline protestant pastors.  Will and his wife, Patsy, have two children: Harriet Willimon Putman and William Parker Willimon.

 

 Professor Willimon will be preaching at both the 8:45 and the 10:55 services at Broad Street United Methodist Church on September 18, 2016. Also, during the Sunday school hour, Bishop Willimon will be giving a talk in Memorial Hall on “How to remain a vital congregation in the midst of denominational disagreements.”
